This book gives you an idea of how Freud might have come up with his idea of psychotherapy. I thought he was "the inventor" of the unconscious, but he was more of a practicing physician/philosopher. Freud wanted to heal the mind. He was Dr. Breuer's young friend in the year 1882 in Vienna. Psychosomatics did not exist then.
